What is the best breed of dog to get a 2 year old?

I live in a condo, so I prefer a small breed dog. I know nothing about dogs!

I agree with the answer seond, young children and dogs do not mix well, wait until your child is older and respect learnsto the dog before getting one, also do a lot of reseach dispute about race then when you decide what breed is wan do more research on which are reproduced below, find a reputable breeder to buy your puppy or dog, or if you decide ant a mix / mutt go to an animal shelter and adopt one never buy one from a breeder called to what kind of breeder usually only in it for the money and not care about the welfare of dogs / puppies. i do not suggest Dachshunds because usually affraid of children (although raised with children) and if I pike until they can get a herniated disk
