grooming tips

Do you have any grooming tips?
I have a norwegian forest cat. These cats have under coats that they shed in the spring a regrow in the fall. I brush him every day but the two coats still tend to molt together when he is shedding. How do I prevent this?

I have a Himalayan so I understand your situation. You have to get a really good undercoat brush.

and it works amazing. I also bought one for my sister who has two large dogs.
Avoid the very fine toothed undercoat brushes. I’ve heard some bad reviews of them from people who work at pet stores.
It will surprise you how much fur it takes out. I have a regular brush for my kitty and one day I brushed til it appeared all the loose fur then I took the undercoat brush to him and it brought out so much more. Regular brushes don’t get the undercoat fur.
